Model-specific display reference
This guide covers messages documented for Thermador T36BB110SS, T36BB120SS and T36IB100SP. Other models may use different wording and procedures. Match your model label to the correct owner manual before taking action.
Door Alarm
The door has remained open long enough to trigger an alert. Check that it closes fully. The documented models allow the tone to be muted, but muting does not resolve a door that remains open.
Freezer High Temp. Alarm
The freezer is too warm. The manual lists startup, a large fresh-food load and extended door opening as possible triggers. Record the displayed temperature and follow the model instructions. A cleared alarm does not establish that cooling has recovered.
A message containing D or E
The electronics have registered a fault. Record every character and use the model manual’s power-reset procedure. If the message returns, request service. This general message does not identify the component that must be replaced.
Lights on, but no cooling
Showroom mode is one documented possibility for these models. Check the manual’s mode instructions; do not assume every cooling failure is caused by a setting.
What about E01 or E02?
Send ABS a photo of the display and the complete model number. Similar-looking codes are used across appliances and generations, so the exact model documentation must be checked before assigning a meaning or recommending a part.
Preparing a repair request
- Include the model and a photo of the full message.
- Identify the affected refrigerator or freezer compartment.
- Describe recent power interruptions or extended door opening.
- Tell us whether temperatures recover or the message repeats.
Protect temperature-sensitive contents when cooling is unreliable. Do not remove panels or bypass controls to silence an alert. ABS explains the findings and repair estimate after diagnosis.
