Short guide to oven fault messages
Record the complete code, oven model and when the message appeared. Use your model’s owner manual for the reset procedure. Do not assume an E-number identifies a failed component without diagnosis.
E followed by a number, with beeping
Thermador identifies this as a fault message. A key press can silence the alert. Follow your manual if a reset is needed; if the fault returns, turn the oven off and arrange assistance.
E0211, E1601 or E0510 during an update
When these appear during a Home Connect software update, Thermador classifies them as update errors. Use the manufacturer’s linked update guidance for that situation.
Information to send with a repair request
- A photo of the complete display message.
- The model number and affected oven cavity.
- The cooking mode or update step in progress.
- Whether the fault returns after the manual’s prescribed procedure.
Stop using an appliance that shows smoke or abnormal overheating. Do not remove covers or bypass controls to clear an alert.
